Images That Think Us 25 years of art, design, science, and creation for possible futures
This commemorative edition invites us to think of the image as an active force that passes through us, transforms us, and projects possible futures.
Through the curatorial axis SENSO/graphies, the Festival explores the intersections between image, body, and living archives in a present shaped by artificial intelligence, digital media, and the ecologies of the image, reaffirming its commitment to visual thinking, critical design, and research-creation.
25 years of images that think the world… and transform it.

International Image Festival
The International Image Festival is one of Latin America’s leading annual events in the fields of art, design, science, and technology, with a history dating back to 1997. Throughout its history, it has welcomed more than 100,000 attendees, 5,000 academics and artists, and has held more than 3,000 events.
The Festival is organized by the University of Caldas, in Manizales, and since 2020, it has been held in partnership with Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, in Bogotá.

Since its creation, the festival has sought to showcase the work of national and international creators, offering a platform for the exhibition of innovative works that explore diverse themes and techniques. Through exhibitions, conferences, workshops, and screenings, the festival encourages reflection on the role of the image in our contemporary society. With a diverse and accessible program, the International Image Festival invites attendees to immerse themselves in a world of creativity and to take part in building a space where art and culture intertwine, enriching the cultural life of the host cities and promoting the exchange of ideas and experiences among different cultures.

This event not only celebrates the image in its many forms, but also seeks to generate social and educational impact, becoming a benchmark for visual culture in Colombia and internationally.
