A transdisciplinary creator who transforms bodily movement and listening into tools for social and community change.
Composer, performance maker, and ultramarathon runner Falk Hübner focuses his artistic and research practice on the intersection of music, physical performance, and social engagement. As Professor of Artistic Connective Practices at the Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg, Hübner approaches artistic practice as a dynamic channel for connection.
Among his most notable works is the research-creation project Putting Feet on the Grounds of Racism (the Netherlands), which examines the consequences of contemporary racism through situated bodily movement practices in historical spaces shaped by colonial heritage. Likewise, in the transdisciplinary work Onderhuids (the Netherlands), he collaborates closely with nursing professionals to rethink the identity and meaning of healthcare in hospital environments.
