A radical artist and researcher who infiltrates internet interfaces to hack systemic biases and structures of algorithmic control.
With doctoral studies in Aesthetics, Sciences, and Technologies of the Arts at Paris 8 University, as well as international teaching experience at cutting-edge institutions in Switzerland and China, Célin Jiang has established herself as one of the most disruptive creators in today’s digital art scene. Jiang specializes in strategically infiltrating the codes of internet platforms, exposing biases related to gender, technology, and race through immersive performances and the creation of artificial pop stars or fembots.
Her research-creation project Je Selfie donc Je Suis (France) is a performance and interactive installation broadcast live through streaming platforms and social media, subverting the commercial logic of mass self-portraiture. Meanwhile, her video art film Adelphe has been presented at contemporary art festivals in Italy, Hong Kong, and South Korea.
Her creative universe and aesthetic interfaces are open to interaction through her performative Instagram channel, @bis0u.magiqu3, and through her publications in the indexed academic journal Hybrid.
