Su investigaci\u00f3n se centra en las historias de mujeres y feminismo(s) en la intersecci\u00f3n del arte, los medios, la ciencia y la tecnolog\u00eda, con un enfoque particular en artistas latinoamericanos. Es autora del libro galardonado\u00a0<em data-start=\"322\" data-end=\"386\">Women Made Visible: Feminist Art and Media in post-1968 Mexico<\/em>\u00a0(Nebraska Press, 2019) y coeditora de\u00a0<em data-start=\"425\" data-end=\"539\">Diffracting the North: Contemporary Latinx Canadian Experiences and Practices in Film, New Media and Visual Arts<\/em>\u00a0(Concordia Press, de pr\u00f3xima publicaci\u00f3n).<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"586\" data-end=\"1056\">Sus publicaciones acad\u00e9micas sobre arte medi\u00e1tico feminista, pr\u00e1cticas archiv\u00edsticas, estudios del sonido, investigaci\u00f3n-creaci\u00f3n y arte latinoamericano y sus di\u00e1sporas aparecen en numerosos vol\u00famenes editados y en revistas como\u00a0<em data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"853\">The Feminist Media Histories Journal<\/em>,\u00a0<em data-start=\"855\" data-end=\"879\">Leonardo Music Journal<\/em>,\u00a0<em data-start=\"881\" data-end=\"927\">Media-N: the Journal of the New Media Caucus<\/em>,\u00a0<em data-start=\"929\" data-end=\"986\">The Journal of Latin American and Latinx Visual Culture<\/em>,\u00a0<em data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1040\">Technoetic Arts: A Journal of Speculative Research<\/em>, entre otras.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1058\" data-end=\"1686\">Su pr\u00e1ctica de investigaci\u00f3n-creaci\u00f3n se enfoca en la producci\u00f3n de proyectos multimedia colaborativos que investigan el cuerpo como un sitio de inscripciones culturales, de g\u00e9nero y tecno-cient\u00edficas. Aceves Sep\u00falveda es profesora asociada en la School of Interactive Arts and Technology de la Universidad Simon Fraser, en Canad\u00e1, ubicada en el territorio no cedido de los pueblos ind\u00edgenas S\u1e35wx\u0331w\u00fa7mesh (Squamish), St\u00f3:l\u014d, S\u0259l\u0313\u00edlw\u0259ta\u0294 (Tsleil-Waututh) y x\u02b7m\u0259\u03b8k\u02b7\u0259y\u0313\u0259m (Musqueam).
